We are unable to control metabolism because it is largely influenced by our thyroid gland’s ability to produce thyroid hormone, as well as our age factor and other underlying characteristics. But sometimes you feel dizzy, and you think that your body is not responding as well as you want. It may be that your metabolism has slowed down.
But if it comes down to calorie intake and expenditure, is there any way to raise energy expenditure ? Naturally, and I’ll tell you about it right away:
- Make time for strength training. Do these in line with the HIIT training philosophy (high-intensity, circuit training). For instance, perform hops, burpees, jumps, push-ups, squats, and other exercises in a circle to work the most muscles in a given amount of time.
- Emphasis on complex carbohydrates. If your diet is dominated by fast carbohydrates, then you will feel hungry faster and want to eat more often. More food means more calories. Everything is simple.
- Add some protein. The Department of Nutrition at the Boston Harvard School and Dutch nutritionists at the University of Maastricht believe that consuming more protein increases metabolic profile, increases energy expenditure, and serves as the building block for muscle tissue.
- Make an effort to eat. Studies have shown that extremely low-calorie diets (less than 500 kcal) greatly increase the chance of gaining back the weight you’ve lost. Means if you starve for a long then it is possible that you will get weight.
Try to lead a healthy lifestyle by examining your body. Read the scientific literature on any topic that interests you, then to apply this knowledge in practice.
