Have you ever made a judgment about a person or situation and then realized that you were completely wrong? I believe we have all had this experience. Most people make quick judgments about others because thinking is difficult for them. If someone judges you too quickly, they may be lacking information.
It is also a fact that many people are accustomed to discussing and criticizing others when assessing situations. Furthermore, many people feel that they have a legal or moral right to do so.
How to avoid judging someone too quickly?
You should not pass judgment on a person or scenario until you have a sufficient amount of information or facts to support your claim. Most of the time, you are evaluating a situation without knowing the whole story.
And if you don’t know anything about someone else’s life, you have to understand that you can’t know why someone did something or acted the way they did! You think that you can only take decisions or judge, you do not have full authority to do so.
Remember that each person is different from the other. The only thing all people have in common is that they are all unique. Just because you don’t enjoy doing something doesn’t mean others shouldn’t do it. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Put yourself in someone else’s situation before passing judgment. Make this the motto of your life. Life should be lived with fewer but more accurate decisions, with more optimism, less negativity and more happiness.
