It’s exciting to imagine that if that deadly asteroid hadn’t hit Earth 66 million years ago, the dinosaurs would still be alive today. It’s hard to believe that they were wiped out by just one rock. But it wasn’t a normal rock. It was 9 miles wide and had the same destructive energy as 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. The blast destroyed the Earth’s atmosphere and marine life.
What if dinosaurs were still alive today? Would it be a Jurassic Park world or a Godzilla world? It’s hard to say, but one thing is for sure: would the world be very different if dinosaurs were there?
Would dinosaurs evolve over time and wipe out other species, including humans? Or, could humans co-exist with them?

But I am sure, if we could see T-Rex in real life, it would be really amazing. It would be very dangerous, thrilling and exciting as we saw in Jurassic Park. The movie shows that humans were able to control dinosaurs, but it is hard to imagine that humans could actually thrive among such big and ferocious animals.
About 66 million years ago, dinosaurs came in all shapes and sizes – of course, these animals were enough intelligent and adaptable, and some were so huge that they weighed as much as two jet planes.
Herbivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs co-existed in this world, but there was also conflict between the two. From this you can understand that humans and dinosaurs would have been in the role of prey and predator in the beginning, and perhaps human civilization could not have developed so fast because they would have lost a lot of time to save life.
If the asteroid had missed Earth, the dinosaurs would have still lived through several important global events.
55 million years ago, the earth was 8°C warmer and dense rainforests began to grow. Gradually, the nutrition of plants decreased, due to which herbivorous dinosaurs became smaller.
20 million years later, the Earth’s climate became colder and drier as South America and Antarctica separated. This change affected many species. Many other species migrated, so the big animals we know today probably would have fallen prey to the dinosaurs.
Humans probably would not have survived if they existed then.
What would have really happened to human civilization? We evolved with woolly mammoths and sabre-toothed cats, but would we have been able to face huge and ferocious dinosaurs?
Perhaps today we would see T-Rex in protected parks, as shown in the movie Jurassic Park.

There would have been a natural conflict between humans and dinosaurs, which would have reduced the human population. There might not have been countries like today. America and Russia would not have been fighting each other but working together against big predators like dinosaurs.
The forces that control human civilization, such as geopolitics or religion, would be entirely different or non-existent.

It is also possible that large dinosaurs were on the verge of extinction due to excessive hunting and population growth. Some adapted dinosaurs could have peacefully coexisted with us, or perhaps we would have become their food before they could have developed human civilisation.
Whatever the case, if dinosaurs were alive today, humans would have definitely taken a different form, which would have been completely different from the humans of today.
