Since 2012, Anja Ringgren Lovén of Denmark has been the founder of a charitable organization that works to rescue and protect children who are in danger. A 2016 photograph of her giving water to a small, malnourished Nigerian child became famous and shocked the world. Anya found the child on the street in critical condition and immediately took him to the hospital, where he received immediate medical attention. Treatment bills were paid thanks to those around the world who could not remain silent.

Hope’s (as the boy was called) condition gradually improved, he started to gain weight and strength, and the threat to his life faded.
